AVIC CALB Will Build Li-ion Battery Factory at Xiamen City

On June 30, China Aviation Lithium Battery Technology Co., Ltd. (CALB) signed an agreement with Xiamen City Municipality and Jinyuan Group, to build a new factory at Xiamen with 10 billion RMB investment totally.
The new factory will cover an area of 566,000 square meters, with an annual capacity of 2 billion Wh when fully operation achieved. The first phase of the construction is planned to start in the third quarter of 2019 and start to operate in the fourth quarter of 2020, followed by the second phase.
At present, CALB has two major manufacturing bases at Changzhou and Luoyang, with a capacity of 1.1 billion Wh.
